BLUE DYED ACRYLIC WOOD SIDE INLAY 14K WHITE GOLD DIAMOND RING

Chasing Victory

  • This ring, part of our blue dyed wood series, was carved out of a single piece of glacial ice deep in the wilds of northern Canada along the Athabasca River. At the edge of the Columbia Icefield, a great serac cleaves from the mouth of the glacier and lands along the riverbank. We set to work with our icepicks and brushes and found buried deep inside a tree frozen to the core, blue, its branches studded in diamonds made from the coals of an ancient fire compressed by millennia of churning ice. This ring is that result: A piece forged in the conflict of fire versus ice, of fine metal versus wood, of new versus classic.
